ITALIANO - Post bilingue

Bilingual post,

“Playing with daggers”
Saranno seguiti da “Deal or die” e “Sarah Dolch and the Heartchasers”.

A presto!

ENGLISH - Bilingual post

In the last two weeks I got a few e-mails where you ask me why I am not publishing new stuff. Well, the answer is simple... a day only has 24 hours, 8 hours I should sleep and 8 hours are sadly eaten up by my ordinary day job. The rest is "free time" that I have to divide between resting, writing, promoting, translating into Italian, reading and simply living and taking care of my home and social life offline.

Anyway, I am not publishing but I am creating! I never stopped writing, I'm just following a slow schedule. It takes me a while to get to the end of a novel, because I research. Yes, even if I write fantasy I really do need to gather solid information. My passion for Norse lore and language is no secret and I try to incorporate bits and pieces in my novels. In the one I'm working on there are quite a few linguistic and runic concepts that make the story livelier and more magical. So I am re-reading my annotated version of the "Edda" for important information and inspiration.

Another big reason for the lack of new novels is that since November 2015 I am very involved in the translation process of "Immortals" (free short story) and "Trusting Darkness" (dystopian novel) in 4 languages at the same time. I love it, I have a wonderful team but it's still a lot to do.

I know many authors who manage to publish 2, 3 or more novels per year... unfortunately I am not one of them. I do have the ideas, I have enough project to fill my life until I die and new ones add up to the list with no pause! However, I'm simply not that fast and since several of my works are thought as parts of a series, I also need to make sure that each volume is coherent alone and with the others and that the world building doesn't become overwhelming at the beginning and too thin later. Writer's problems!

So, I apologize for being slow!
My next new novel is going to be:
"Playing with daggers"
which is book 1 of an Urban Fantasy series for adults (I say for adults because there's a lot a violence and creepy stuff, not because I write erotica. There are some hot moments, but nothing too explicit). The next 2 books in the series (already in my work in progress folder) are "Law kills" and "Sorcerer for sale". They will be followed by "Deal or die" and "Sarah Dolch and the Heartchasers". I do have at least 2 more novels planned and I have the feeling they won't be the last.

Maybe some of you remember the novella version of it... well, it turns out that I have a lot more to say about this story, so the novella didn't make much sense anymore. There are more than 20 new chapters, an all new storyline, new subplots, new characters and much more. So, what's left of the novella? Everything, but it's in the second part of the novel and enriched with more details and twists.

I will write a specific "Playing with daggers" post when the publication approaches! Hopefully before the end of 2016.

Bye!
